8 digital dubs from Black Uhuru feat. Sly and Robbie, released 1987 on RAS Records. Cool tubular 80s sound. Stimulating, distinctive, inviting– rewarding upon repeat listens, makes a good discussion at the dinner party. 80s dancehall dubs in the best way. Go ahead, impress the guests.

North-African electronic bass sound on the debut release from from Moroccan producer Guedra Guedra (we have the follow-up). Sub-bass weighted blanket, laid out on a bed of gnawa, Moroccan guedra drums and Sufi vocals. Eschews conventional Western 4/4 “rise and fall” for extended-meter multilayered “dancefloor pressure” hardcore ambient stress.
